In the spirit of my blogging siblings, I would like to recap the last couple of months as well.
Graduation at 1 pm in the Shoe with 95 degree sunshine
Kirtland with Parents
Amish Country with Mutti
Birthday at the Zoo
Fourth Anniversary with my sweetheart
Strawberry picking and jam with friends
Working on the reunion
Working on the book for the reunion
4 and 5 am bedtimes while working on the book for the reunion...
...for a couple of weeks
Peaceful 4th of July with Fireflies to entertain us
Carmina Burana with Stanny Don, 1812 Overture with cannons, and fireworks with the Cleveland Symphony in Blossom
Prepping for early morning madness (aka seminary)
Violin solos at various church meetings
Old lady tells me to pray about my calling (the ward chorister one) and even gives me an ensign article to help (because I'm apparently struggling)
Enter the dramatic antics of Auntie Chocolate Chips (e.g. "We almost had a funeral instead...")
Ahhh, the cool and dry night air of the desert
Linus and Hal exchanging funny faces around a breakfast of scones
No way I can compete for the position of best aunt against a couple of diggers, a huge pile of dirt, and horses
My sister the fiddler, cotton candy, and Pioneers
Authors past midnight (with the various water pills involved, I'm surprised there were no accidents or frantic runs to the toilet)
House-Painting escapades, involving Linus losing his pants (wa-ha-ha!)
Little boys, rotten apples, and wheel-barrows (Hal and EJ take on more work than they've ever done at home!)
Hal (2.5 years): "Eeewww! Bigusting! Look at this one!"
Lucy exploring the insect life of the Field of Dreams and environs (the neighbor had just released lady bugs)
Teaching Hal that the Lady Bugs are good bugs, but he's allowed to smash any other bugs he sees
Weenie Roast with the fam (the reunion begins)
International bidding fight in the silent auction
A very Welsh sing-along with a bit of bluegrass thrown in
Fun at the Cabin (the reunion continues): food, haka, 70-75 people, games
Refreshingly cold and blue Bear Lake
Finally finding your ancestor's gravestone that was right in front of your face the entire time
Driving through Logan Canyon, trying to imagine what it might have been like to go through it in a covered wagon, while making plans for future memories (and trying not to get car-sick all at the same time -- nursing a raspberry shake always helps!)
Sleeping through a flying ant invasion (though I hear it was quite an event)
Farewells till we meet again
Fun with sister and bro-in-law: an abandoned printing museum, seeing old friends, food galore, good books and movies, good times
China Boy with cousins
Arriving home to discover my car won't start (some kind of electrical problem), I need a job, and I still have that early morning madness to prepare for. Napoleon Dynamite sigh. And on Sunday: "Hey, Bishop? Are you going to release me from my other callings?"

I want to hear the whole story on that one!
Ditto to Frau M's comment, especially since, for one, I haven't known you to struggle yet in anything musical and, for another, you mentions callings (plural) so I'd be interested to know what all they have you doing. And you are still sane and in control. Wow. I tell you, you ladies amaze me every time.
Thanks for the China Boy experience, all of you, by the way. It was a MUCH needed break and laugh. And we still owe you books or whatever for paying our way, Frau M.
At least the old lady at Church was paying attention to you. I often wonder if anyone takes their nose out of their Hymnal. Look at the article on page 59 of the July Ensign for a quite appropriate reaction to a clueless comment from the Ward "Piety/Call You to Repentance Council" of which there are too many members apparently. Sunday I was told this one by the YW Pres, "Why don't you like to stand and repeat the YW Theme in RS. It's true!" Me: "What?" Mutti
Raspberry shake, eh? I screwed up...
Papa
You forgot my personal favorite
"Read between the lines"....Papa
My mother in Law is the seminary teacher and Boy Scout something to do with advancement person. She has campaigned to be taken off the second calling. She's shown up with all of her equipment to hand in - but the leader backed away physically from her and wouldn't take it. She's only supposed to be a seminary teacher, but she thinks she's going to have this second calling until she dies.
Good luck to you, though. I'm excited to come and meet you and linus all over again!
