Names for Peanut: Part 1

We've been searching for baby girl names for Peanut (since we think she should be called something other than that once she arrives). We've found fabulous names on babynames dot com, but we need your help, gentle reader. There are so many wonderful names out there, we don't know how to choose! Here's what we've found for A-D:

Andromeda
Anise
Aria
Arizona
Ashby
Avignon
Azabeth
Berkeley
Bienna
Blaise
Blakeney
Bracken
Brasen
Braylin
Breckin
Butterfly
Cadenza
Callison
Chastity
Cinnamon
Clover
Dallas
Darcy
Datherine
Daytona
Diva
Dublinia
Dustine

So, which ones are your favorites? If you choose wisely, you might get to be at the naming ceremony.

Wait, did you really think we were serious about these names? All these names are actually on this website. Except for Dublinia, which I came up with myself. ;-) I'm looking forward to the rest of the alphabet -- and your input!

My goodness. I know everyone has their own taste, and I am not one to comment on others' name choices, but I was reading the list and starting to feel like I needed to make note of the ones that I REALLY felt like you needed to be talked out of. And then my list kept getting LONGER...eek!

My personal favorite is Dublinia.

I wanted to name a daughter Charity, but Avram said we could only do that if we also had a Chastity. Oh, well. (I particularly like Arizona. It could be your last bastion of home.)

You could name your kids after cities in Arizona. Like Whitney's parents named all the kids in her family after cities in Wyoming. You know you've always wanted your first born to be named Lake Havasu City.

Far be it for me to tell anyone how to name their wee one. That said, I was a bit surprised when the list started with Andromeda (bold) . . . then Arizona (hm) . . . Berkeley (really? she would?) . . . and when I reached Butterfly and Cinnamon, I wondered if I really didn't know you at all like I thought. Because I couldn't hear your voice calling your child any of these names. (Clover? For a child?) Then I smiled at Dublinia and thought, I think they're making things up. I think. Or else I'm really in trouble. And I'd go with Dublinia because it sounds the cutest and most . . . uniquely you. And now I have the song "Cinnamon Girl" stuck in my head. : )

Although you ARE a musician, I would hope you wouldn't name her Cadenza or Diva. I'm sure Reed would vote for Avignon even if he wouldn't name his own daughter that.

C & A are suggesting you follow the Peanut theme and name her Peppermint Patti.
Whatever you choose you might consider my own personal criteria which was always what the child's name would sound like if she were to become a Supreme Court Justice.
Looking forward to the rest of the alphabet.
